If you have found yourself at this page, then something tells me that you may just need a little help and encouragement.
There is NOTHING wrong with admitting the fact that you may be struggling when it comes to feeding yourself and/or your tribe. It does not matter if you have 2 mouths to feed or 10; the emotional, social, and physical obstacles that come with eating food are ever present.
Whether you are trying to sneak vegetables into your toddler’s mashed potatoes or attempt to convince your partner to eat more meatless proteins, one thing is for sure: you have got your work cut out for you.
To top it all off, you have to take care of yourself- and that means feeding yourself too. Time, energy, planning….so much goes into being the lead feeder of your tribe.
SO we’re established that feeding and cooking for your tribe can be emotional and time-consuming. Obviously, if you’re dedicated to preparing your own fresh meals, it is imperative to have several tricks up your sleeve.
Here’s where I come in.
As I train to become a Certified Nutritional Consultant, I am learning so many things about nutrition. I know that good nutrition is one of the keys to a healthy life and that we can improve your health by keeping a balanced diet. I have learned that we should eat foods that contain vitamins and minerals. This includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, plant/animal based dairy, and a source of protein.
Likewise, as I continue to follow my avid love for food blogging, I am learning how to pick apart a good recipe from a GREAT recipe. How to identify when a meal lacks sustenance or nutritional value. I am becoming versed in spotting excellent meals that can suit not only the tastebuds of little ones, but of adults all well- and simultaneously! And I am identifying trigger allergens in a. meal before they are even introduced into the kitchen.
Add onto this certification the fact that I am personally obsessed with the health of my family through their dietary intake and you have a natural-made recipe developer and meal planner.
It seems only right that I would share these hard-earned and valuable facets of my life and experience with you.
